City Visions
A fresh look at Luxembourg – as it was, is and will be
Since the Middle Ages, artists have depicted towns and cities, providing invaluable historical evidence of urban planning and political, demographic and economic change. The urban environment remains a major source of inspiration for modern and contemporary artists. The collection at the Lëtzebuerg City Museum illustrates urban development since the 16th century, blending history and artistic interpretation over time, from majestic overviews to abstract and expressive visions of the city.
On this basis, the exhibition on the 5th floor of the museum highlights our city and invites visitors to engage in a dynamic dialogue with the collections. The space is designed to offer a multi-dimensional, multi-sensory and experimental experience, accessible to all audiences and inviting participation.
