STUDIO DUMBAR/DEPT®
STUDIO DUMBAR/DEPT® is an international agency with a Dutch heritage, specialising in visual branding, motion and sound. Attracting talented individuals from around the world. The portfolio is equally diverse, encompassing work for a variety of clients both large and small – from business and government to cultural and non-profit. Projects span from the Dutch Railways visual identity, Adidas Future natural identity, Instagram motion identity, the refresh of the Van Gogh museum identity to initiating and designing DEMO, the largest design in motion festival in the world.
Sóldís Finnbogadóttir
Sóldís Finnbogadóttir is a visual designer at Studio Dumbar/DEPT®, born in Iceland but based in the Netherlands. She graduated from Iceland University of the Arts in 2020 and has since specialised in creating visual identities with a hybrid approach. Sóldís likes to explore diverse methods of visual communication, ranging from digital software tools to the art of cross-stitching. Currently, Sóldís is co-responsible for the mentorship program at Studio Dumbar where she provides guidance to new talents participating in internship programs at the studio.
Stan Haanappel
Stan Haanappel, Lead Designer & Partner at Studio Dumbar/DEPT®, graduated from the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam, where he majored in graphic design. In 2017, he won the Fontanel Award for Dutch Design Talent. His work focuses on blending cutting-edge technologies with design and typography, driven by his passion for exploring innovative, unique approaches to design communication. As lead designer at Studio Dumbar, Stan oversees project teams that include motion designers, visual designers, sound designers, and creative coders. He has led multiple award-winning projects, including the visual identity for the North Sea Jazz, the Instagram motion identity and DEMO Design in Motion Festival.
